This speceis ranges from southern Democratic Republic of Congo southwards to northern Namibia and Zambia west of the Luanga River.

Because the regions where it occurs have relatively small human populations it is presumed to be relatively common. However, the region is also politically unstable and therefore population numbers are unknown. There is little to no literature available on this particular species.
